    Safety Buzz Campus Ltd. is looking for a reliable, safety-focused individual to join our team as a Casual Safety Watch / Confined Space Attendant

    This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in the field, takes safety seriously, and is looking for flexible, casual work. The successful candidate will provide safety watch services for clients working in and around confined spaces and help ensure that safe work procedures are followed.

    Position: Casual Safety Watch / Confined Space Attendant

    Location: Dunmore, Alberta and surrounding areas
    Job Type: Casual / On-Call
    Schedule: Flexible, based on client needs

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as a dedicated safety watch for workers entering or working around confined spaces

    • Monitor workers and maintain constant communication with the entry team

    • Monitor atmospheric conditions as required using appropriate gas detection equipment

    • Ensure confined space entry procedures and safety requirements are being followed

    • Maintain awareness of hazards and changing conditions at the worksite

    • Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the confined space area

    • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and safety records

    • Communicate immediately with the site supervisor or appropriate personnel if unsafe conditions arise

    • Be prepared to initiate emergency procedures when required

    • Follow all company, client, and applicable health and safety requirements

    • Represent Safety Buzz Campus Ltd. in a professional and safety-focused manner

    Qualifications & Requirements – Safety Buzz Campus is willing to provide required training and certifications to serious candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to workplace safety.

    • Previous confined space or safety watch experience is an asset

    • Confined Space training is required

    • Current First Aid certification

    • H2S Alive certification

    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

    • Ability to work independently and remain alert for extended periods

    • Strong communication and observation skills

    • Dependable, punctual, and professional

    • Comfortable working outdoors and in various weather conditions

    • Ability to follow procedures and respond appropriately in an emergency

    • Must be willing to work flexible hours based on client requirements

CASUAL / PART-TIME CLASSROOM INSTRUCTOR

Safety Buzz Campus – Dunmore, Alberta

Safety Buzz Campus is looking for a Casual / Part-Time Classroom Instructor to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, sharing knowledge, and developing their skills in the safety training industry. The successful candidate will initially teach a variety of our in-house safety courses, with training and support provided.

As you gain experience and additional qualifications, there will be opportunities to expand into more specialized training programs.

COURSES YOU WILL INITIALLY TEACH

Training will be provided for:

  • Fall Protection

  • Forklift

  • Skid Steer

  • Confined Space

  • MEWP / EWP

  • Telehandler

  • Basic Fire Extinguisher

OPPORTUNITIES TO GROW

As your experience and qualifications develop, there may be opportunities to become certified and teach additional courses, including:

  • ESC Fall Protection

  • ESC H2S

  • Air Brakes

  • Simulator Training

  • Standard First Aid

  • Field Safety Services

  • Other Safety Buzz Campus training programs

We are looking for someone who is interested in learning, developing their skills, and growing with our team.

POSITION DETAILS

Position: Casual / Part-Time Classroom Instructor
Location: Safety Buzz Campus – Dunmore, AB, and off-site client locations
Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend opportunities
Hours: Vary depending on course bookings and instructor availability

Courses will be delivered both at Safety Buzz Campus and at customer locations, so the ability to travel to off-site training locations is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver classroom-based safety training in a professional, engaging, and practical manner

  • Create a positive and respectful learning environment

  • Clearly explain course material, safety procedures, and expectations

  • Demonstrate safe work practices and proper equipment operation where applicable

  • Complete required course paperwork and student documentation accurately

  • Maintain professional relationships with students, clients, and coworkers

  • Deliver training according to Safety Buzz Campus standards and course requirements

  • Travel to off-site client locations as required

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional classroom / facility environment

  • Continue developing knowledge, skills, and qualifications in additional training programs

  • Represent Safety Buzz Campus professionally both on-site and at customer locations

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a valid driver's licence

  • Be comfortable speaking and presenting in front of groups

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Be dependable, professional, and punctual

  • Be comfortable working with a variety of students and experience levels

  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Be able to work independently while also contributing to a team

  • Be willing to travel to off-site training locations

  • Have an interest in safety, training, and continued professional development

Previous instructional experience is an asset, but not required. Training will be provided for the initial courses.

Experience in construction, agriculture, oil & gas, heavy equipment, transportation, industrial safety, or other related industries would be considered an asset.
